Description: This article mainly discusses how to put and transfer Blu-ray movies to iTunes library on Windows/Mac, so that you can watch DVDs on Apple iOS-based devices like iPhone, iPad, iPod, etc. anytime and anywhere.

All iOS devices like iPhone 5S, iPhone 5, iPad Air, iPad Mini, iPod, Apple TV are using iTunes to manage the digital music and video files. That’s to say, if you want to watch movies or listen to music on your Apple devices, you have to sync videos and audios to your iTunes library firstly.

However, it is important to acknowledge the fact that iTunes cannot rip Blu-ray to iTunes. The Steps:

The quick start guide below uses the BDMagic screenshots. The way to ripping Blu-rays to iTunes on Mavericks (10.9 included) is almost the same. Just make sure you get the right version according to your computer operating system.

The easy way to rip Blu-ray to iTunes highly compatible video formats

1. Insert Blu-ray on Blu-ray drive and import it to the software.

When you launch this software, you should make sure that you have inserted Blu-ray to your Blu-ray drive. Then click the "Load file" button to import the Blu-ray you want for idevices.

After loading Blu-ray successfully, the actual main title will be picked by the software and you can preview the entire movies on the preview window and take snapshot. Now go to choose the subtitle and audio you need for output for default setting for subtitles is none.

2. Choose video format for iOS devices.

Click "Format" menu to get the output video format list. A mass of formats are listed. Go to choose iOS devices directly in the list like iPhone, iPad, iPod, etc for output because they are the most compatible formats.

Basically the “H.264 Video(*.mp4)” from "Common Video" is a universal format for playback on your Apple tablets and smartphones.

(Tips: If you want to keep multiple audio tracks and subtitle streams when ripping Blu-ray to MKV, MP4 and MOV, you can try to use Pavtube ByteCopy for Windows or Mac.)

If you want to check and choose the codec, bitrate, channels, etc for output videos, you are free to click "Settings" button to get it done. Take note that the default settings are also made for high quality output videos if you are not good at it.

3. Convert Blu-ray for iOS devices.

Click "Convert" button to start converting Blu-ray to iPhone 5S/5C, iPad Air, iPad Mini 2, iPod, etc.. Once completed, "Open" button will help you to get output files quickly.

Tips: It has powerful edit functions such as trim video for your needed length, crop video to get rid of annoying black edges, join multiple video clips into one, add text/image watermark and add subtitles.

For example, if the original Blu-ray movie has no subtitle or the subtitles you need, you can download it from website and then add it into the output videos for full enjoyment with this software.

Now it's time to transfer Blu-ray to your idevices (iPhone/iPad/iPod). Copy the generated video to iTunes and then sync to your Apple devices.

Detailed steps:

First, locate the output file where you have saved the videos. Then open the iTunes app so that you can import the output videos to it. This can be done by dragging and dropping the media file. The process is simple all you need is:

Step 1. Click "File" menu on the left side of iTunes toolbar
Step 2. Choose the "Add File to Library" option
Step 3. Open the output folder that contains the videos
Step 4. Select the file and click "Open".

After opening the file the will go to your iTunes and you can verify if the transfer has been successful by going to the iTunes library and typing the name of the file. If it is successfully transferred, A thumbnail of the video file will appear in your screen. If the transfer is successful you can further transfer the file to your iPod Touch, the new iPad Air, iPad Mini, iPad 2, iPhone 5S, iPhone 4S, Apple TV 3 and other portable devices and you can easily enjoy them everywhere you wish to.

Go to enjoy it!

Reviews:

To be honest, Pavtube BDMagic is a dream come true to me! This software is so simple to use and gives me exactly what i was looking for. I'm saving and digitalizing my entire collection and now been able to put them on iTunes and watch them wirelessly on my Apple TV 3 with extraordinary quality of Audio (DD 5.1) and Video. (1280x720). I tried several softwares and I can tell you that NO ONE comes even close to the simpleness and great quality that Pavtubes softwares deliver. The time it takes to convert in this software is almost half that in other.
